Hello!
My name is Abigail Griffin.
I first got licensed as a massage therapist over 25 years ago while studying dance, movement, and flow arts. Massage school felt like an extension of my love of movement and my growing care for others. In the years since then, I've accumulated many hours of formal training across many modalities of massage, yoga, and movement, and spent more than ten years working directly with clients in high-end and world-class spas and in private practice.
As a bodyworker, care of my own body isn’t optional, and my relationship with self-care has transformed my life and has deepened as each year passes. I’m passionate about sharing massage and self-care practices with others. I’m inspired by my mother, who regularly gave me a massage to help ease growing pains and help me get to sleep as a child, and my father, who has lived to 101 years old and had amazing self-care routines, throughout much of his life. I strive to be as consistent as he always was. I’m also inspired by the rhythms of nature and developing rhythms of self-care both in my daily, weekly, monthly, seasonal, and yearly.
I grew up in the mountains of WNC, have roots here, raised a family here, and love these mountains, our culture, and our people. I’ve lived in Woodfin for over 20 years, and am particularly excited to give back to the Woodfin community. I’m passionate about bodywork care being accessible, affordable, and relatable to those who call these mountains home, as well as our beloved visitors
Please feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a session. I will be deeply honored to work with you!
~ Abigail
